After watching Donald J. Trump’s acquittal from the second impeachment trial, Mitch McConnell made a post acquittal statement that blamed Donald Trump for the events that took place after his January 6, 2021 speech at the Ellipse in Washington, DC. Why would Mitch McConnell vote to acquit Donald Trump and then right after his vote to acquit DJT made such a dishonest prepared statement in front of the senate?
The answer to the first is that McConnell claims that President Trump’s trial in and of itself was unconstitutional because of his “belief” that it is impossible to impeach a President that is no longer holding office. No so fast, Annoying tens of millions of voters that believe in the Nationalist, Populist and America First movement is the reason that senior senator from Kentucky voted to acquit Donald Trump. He did not want to lose voting base in “Red” states and he did not want to lose the financial support of loyal conservatives.
The answer to the second part of the question is much more complicated due to the extensive ties that Mitch McConnell and his wife have to the Chinese Communist Party, CCP. Below you will find a number of facts that highlight the close relationships that Mitch McConnell and his wife have to the CCP. Serving his Chinese overloads is the reason that Mitch McConnell decided to make his mean spirited speech after minutes earlier voting to acquit President Trump. Indeed, many people would be surprised to learn that Mitch McConnell wife is former Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao have extensive ties and have received many gifts from the CCP or from those connected to the CCP. Mitch McConnell is duty bound to the Chinese because of new found family loyalties, gifts/bribes from CCP owned companies, and massive contributions made to him by Dominion Voting Systems. Jiang Zemin was the secretary of the Chinese Communist Party from 1989 until 2002 and also the President of China from 1993 until 2003. He studied James Chao, the father of Elaine Chao, at Jiao Tong University formerly known as the National Chiao Tung University.
In October 2012, Harvard announced that Chao and his family foundation would donate $40 million to the Harvard Business School for the construction of the Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center and the establishment of the Ruth Mulan Chu and James Si-Cheng Chao Family Fellowship Fund. 10 days after the 2016 Election Angella Chao, Elaine Chao’s sister was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bank of China. She was also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Foremost Group.
Chao’s family Invested in a CCP Owned Marine Electronic Equipment Manufacturer - the company sold mostly to the CCP’s military and had close ties to the Ministry of Electronics where Jiang Zemin was a minister at the time. After Jiang Zemin became the President of China, James Chao met with him 6 times. The first meeting came after the Tiananmen Square massacre and the CCP were facing economic sanctions. During Chao’s senate confirmation hearings Chao did not disclose her position as International Advisor to the Chinese Communists Party’s Wuhan Municipal Government nor did she disclose her families ties to the CCP.
The House Oversight and Reform Committee wanted to know if Elaine Chao used her official position to help the Foremost Group gain favor with the Chinese government in order to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars of low interest rate loans issued by the CCP which allowed her family business the ability to purchase foreign ships.
On sept 16, 2019 - The House of Representatives initiated an investigation into allegations that Elaine Chao used her Official Position to Benefit her Family Company. The House Oversight and Reform Committee asked Chao to submit documents of conversations that she had with her father James Chao and her sister Angela Chao by September 30th. The Department of Transportation responded by saying “Media attacks targeting the Secretary’s family are stale and only attempt to undermine her long career of public service”.
Conclusion: Mitch McConnell obviously must answer to the CCP but, to do so he must maintain his important position within the United States Government. Thus, he must first win his senate seat and maintain his position as the highest ranking member of the United States senate. Second he must preserve favor with the CCP to keep himself in good standing with his Chinese apparatchik wife and preserve his personal wealth. McConnell surmised that the only way he could accomplish both goals was by voting to acquit Donald Trump while almost simultaneously proclaiming DJT's guilt.
