National Vietnam War Veterans Day

March 29, 2021: Vietnam War Veterans Day

Today we remember all the sacrifices made by our Vietnam War Veterans (and all other war Veterans) who defended our country and our freedom with the highest degrees of bravery, valor, and patriotism. If you know a Veteran, reach out them today. If you do not know a Veteran, take a quiet moment to thank them through prayer. Three formal military prayers are provided, below, for you reference – please take a moment to say these prayers and share them with your family and friends.

Veterans Prayer

Everlasting God, thank you that your ear is always attentive to our prayers. Hear our prayer for our military veterans today. Give them clear minds and peaceful hearts as you bless them for their service to us. May your divine love spread throughout their soul, saturating their whole being that they may be built up in your likeness. Strengthen them through your limitless mercy and grace. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and strength, be unto you our God forever and ever. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Military and Veterans Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you that you defend your people with your mighty hand. Please hear my prayer as I lift up our military and veterans before you now. They work tirelessly to defend our country. Bless and protect them Lord and use their work for the good of our nation and your glory. May they know your presence with them at this time. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with them always. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Bless Our Veterans Prayer

Mighty God, thank you that you can satisfy our every desire and need. Hear our prayer of thanks for our veterans who made great sacrifices on our behalf. We ask that you bless them and meet all their needs. We pray you would give them peace when they suffer from past trauma. We acknowledge the debt of gratitude that we owe them for the freedom of our country. Lord, bless them and keep them, make your face shine upon them. Turn your face towards them and give them peace. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
