A former press aide of Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) has added her voice to the growing number calling for him to resign, claiming the politician invited her to his hotel room and embraced her after a work event in 2000, when Cuomo led the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and she was a consultant for the agency.

The woman, Karen Hinton, says she pulled away from Cuomo, but he pulled her back toward his body, holding her before she backed away and left the room, according to the report. This comes amid multiple other allegations by females who say the governor sexually harassed them. Cuomo held his first press conference on Wednesday since giving New York Attorney General Letitia James a referral to investigate claims that he sexually harassed at least two women in his administration. “I never touched anyone inappropriately. I never touched anyone inappropriately,” Cuomo claimed. Cuomo then urged New Yorkers to wait for the facts to be made public prior to judging the situation. “I ask the people of this state to wait for the facts of the attorney general’s report before forming an opinion, get the facts please before forming an opinion,” Cuomo urged. Cuomo made clear he will not resign from his post, saying: “I’m going to do the job the people of the state elected me to do” and apologized for making anyone feel uncomfortable, calling the allegations an “important lesson.” - - “I also want you to know that I have learned from what has been an incredible, difficult situation for me as well as other people, and I’ve learned an important lesson. I’m sorry, I’m sorry for whatever pain I caused anyone, I never intended it, and I will be the better for this experience,” the governor said. Meanwhile, the Times Union on Saturday became the second Editorial Board call on Cuomo to resign after news broke of the nursing home deaths coverup, and multiple women accused the governor of sexual harassment. As Breitbart News reported, the newspaper’s editorial board wrote an op-ed titled, “Resign, Mr. Cuomo”. The Democrat and Chronicle‘s Editorial Board has also called for him to depart.

A sheriff in Texas is voicing concern that Americans will have to “pay a price” for the total chaos unfolding at the southern border.

“This is the first time in U.S. history where the federal government has gone back on rejected asylee applicants, in the last year or so, and they’re reaching out to them to bring them back into the United States,” Sheriff A.J. Louderback told The. Epoch Times of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies. He said that Biden’s reforms have seen U.S. government employees contact asylum-seekers rejected during the Trump administration and encourage them to reapply for asylee status under the Biden administration. The five-term sheriff from Jackson County added that the Biden administration has basically “dismantled every piece of the Immigration Naturalization Act,” meaning that any individual from any country is being “invited” to enter into the United States, “whether you’re seeking asylum or not.” Jackson County is directly affected by human smuggling activity through the Rio Grande Valley—the busiest corridor on the southwest U.S. border for illegal crossings. “The Trump administration simply said, ‘No, we’re going to do Migrant Protection Protocols … and we’re going to do the asylum process but you’re going to have to stay in another country, and then make application into the U.S. and then be brought in into an orderly fashion,’” the sheriff explained of the previous administration’s immigration guidelines. Under President Donald Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols, asylum-seekers were housed in Mexico while awaiting the court’s decision on their application. But Biden recently banned all deportations, and immigrants are now seen offering themselves to Border Patrol agents so they can be processed, given notice to appear documents, and allowed into the United States without any testing for COVID-19 or need for vaccinations—which Louderback characterizes as “absolute hypocrisy.” The sheriff said that he had heard from Border Patrol agents working the Rio Grande Valley sector that in the past three weeks, they’ve seen around 1,000 people a day crossing into the United States. “Where are they going to go?” he asked.

He then warned the American public that they haven’t been told the truth about the wide-ranging impacts that such a flow of illegal immigrants has on the communities they pass through and settle in. He noted that the flow of people brings money and power that enriches cartels that claim territory (plazas) adjacent to the border, through which their coyotes can charge passage. Such cartels are also known to smuggle narcotics and weapons across the border. “If you want access to the border through the plazas, you will pay what’s called a peso to the Gulf Cartel in this area, and that peso averages at a low of about $250 per person. So [at] 1,000 [people crossing] a day, you’re looking at a quarter-million dollars a day coming in and funding the cartel for its future violence, and the future enhancement of all things criminal that go on here in Texas … in the United States,” Louderback said.

Biden’s policies are helping funnel people into this illegal trade, he added.

“We’re allowing the cartels to fund themselves, enrich themselves at the cost of these people.” Many of the new arrivals have no contacts in the United States and end up receiving help from a Catholic charity organization that arranges contacts and travel for them throughout the United States. But a lack of community ties leaves the aliens vulnerable to slavery and criminality, Louderback said. “You know, in a likely situation where you have a mass of people who come into a community, fresh and new, not knowing anybody or knowing very few people, what’s going to happen with them? Many of them are going to be indentured to the cartel. “So we’re bringing in people here wholesale into this country and clearly, we’ve delivered a message to the world that our borders are open today. And Texans will pay a price; Americans will pay a price for that.” “Having a secure border defines us as a country,” the sheriff said. “I think people need to pay attention to that.” By the Epoch Times

President Joe Biden hailed the Senate passage of his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill on Saturday, clearing the way for the legislation to reach his desk. He claimed it was necessary to fight the pandemic, and to revive the ailing economy. Neither of those claims stands up to close scrutiny. Vaccines are rolling out, thanks to former President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, and the economy is already recovering, thanks to Trump’s policies and the refusal of Republican-governed states to shut down. The new COVID relief package could help, with more money for the fight against the pandemic, and more relief for ailing families. But it could also hurt, by overheating the economy in a way that causes inflation to rise and forces the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates. That, in turn, will damage growth and job creation. The truth is that much of the $1.9 trillion package is intended to reward Democrat-governed states and left-wing interest groups. As with the 2009 “stimulus,” the first priority of a New Democratic administration is to reward the forces that put it into office, arming them for the next fight. The Biden administration will, no doubt, claim credit for any economic good news that happens after the bill’s passage — invoking the classic “post hoc, ergo propter hoc” fallacy. And Republicans will be cast as villains for opposing it — when the truth is that Republicans tried to negotiate a more targeted bill. Biden refused to compromise with them; so much for so-called “unity.” The real winner, politically, is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). She delayed a deal on coronavirus relief for months, then agreed to a much smaller deal in December. Asked by reporters about her “mistake,” Pelosi all but admitted that it had been worth causing pain to Americans to prevent Trump from accomplishing anything before the election. All Pelosi had to do was wait for a new Senate, and a new administration. She got her money — even if Americans had to suffer for it. By Breitbart

Democrat senators celebrated the upper chamber’s passage of the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief measure on Saturday, framing it as “just the start of what Congress can do” moving forward.

The Senate passed the controversial $1.9 coronavirus relief bill on party lines Saturday, 50-49. Republican Rep. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) was not present for the vote, traveling home for a family emergency.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) celebrated the measure’s passage as “historic,” labeling it a “powerful” bill that will “make a real difference.” - - “This is just the start of what Congress can do for working families. We must raise the minimum wage to $15/hr. We need to invest in infrastructure, k-12 education, and a clean energy economy,” she said, vowing to fight with “every tool in the toolbox to help our families and economy recover”.

“The Supreme Court continues to disappoint in their unwillingness to hear important cases, as they dropped a number of cases Thursday relating to the crisis that continues to metastasize at the southern border. While the left continues to pretend that the border crisis is non-existent, we all know that it is very real. Fox News reports: The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a number of cases testing the Trump administration’s plan to withhold law-enforcement grants from cities that refused to cooperate with Department of Homeland Security efforts to deport noncitizens arrested by local police. The court, which hadn’t yet decided whether it would hear the cases, acted shortly after the Biden administration and state and city governments in New York and California jointly asked the justices to dismiss the pending appeals. Lower courts in New York and San Francisco had reached varying conclusions on the Justice Department’s authority to withhold funds that Congress had authorized to assist local police departments.” So it seems that the “Judicial Independence” the founders had in mind isn’t a real thing anymore. They’ll drop “controversial” cases at the request of a corrupt administration that refuses to do one of its only jobs, which is protecting the borders. What good is a separate arm of government if they refuse to hold the executive branch accountable for not appropriately enforcing the laws of this country? “The legal challenges arose at various times since 2017, when the Trump administration said it would withhold Justice Assistance Grants from local governments that refused to comply with three new conditions. Those include informing immigration agents upon request of the scheduled release of any person in custody “believed to be an alien,” allowing immigration officials access to local jails and sharing immigration status information with federal authorities.

The move targeted cities such as New York and San Francisco that have adopted so-called sanctuary policies, which limit cooperation with immigration authorities. Local officials say such policies improve public safety by increasing trust between immigrant communities and the police. The Trump administration said the cities were tolerating the presence of non-citizens who had committed crimes and posed a danger to the public.”

With the highest court in the land tucking their tails and refusing to hear cases that directly relate to ongoing and growing threats it begs the question, what other Constitutional questions will they bury their heads in the sand over? With the Biden administration making no attempt to hide their complete contempt for the Constitution, we’re going to need the Judges that Trump appointed to show the backbone we expect from them.

With the Left in control of the other two branches of government, at least until the midterm elections, it’s time for the Supreme Court to live up to its name and duties and make some supreme decisions about the laws of this land.
